A nursery in Scotland has become one of the first of its kind to invest in state of the art digital facilities to help teach the children.

Enchanted Forest, on the Erskine Hospital Estate, has bought a digital interactive table for their three to five year old room. The interactive table combines engaging activities with the Curriculum including numeracy, literacy, emotions and responsibility. Nursery staff have received training to help the children get the most out of using the device.

Mariessa Devlin, Co-founder of the nursery, said “While the digital tables are already extremely popular with the children, we continue to ensure that more traditional forms of learning through play are embraced.”

“In addition, we have been reinvesting in various new resources, many of which were selected by the children, these are providing further depth to learning which is also being embedded by trips on our Enchanted Forest mini-buses to local places of interest.”

The digital table is the same height as a normal nursery table and is built of aluminium with a safety glass touch screen.
