Press Release:

Thousands of young children across the UK will be learning about health and wellbeing during a week-long fun activity campaign run by National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA).

Already hundreds of nurseries have signed up to take part in Healthy Body Happy Me which takes place from 18 until 24 April.

Activities include baking healthy recipes, dancing, exploring the outdoors and caring for bodies by brushing teeth and seeing what germs on our hands do to our food.

NDNA’s Chief Executive Purnima Tanuku OBE, said: “Our nurseries love taking part in Healthy Body Happy Me as all the suggested activities are designed to be fun but with an important learning message for children.

“We know that healthy children are happy children and that’s when they learn and develop best.

“We had fun making a special video to promote the campaign and hope that everyone with young children or who works with youngsters takes a look and can share the healthy, happy message.”

The campaign is sponsored by NDNA’s strategic corporate partners Hope Education and Citation Professional Solutions.

Activities on each day include:

Monday – Eat well, feel fantastic! – all about healthy eating – send in your recipes and photos

TuesdayCaring for our bodies – look after your body by brushing your teeth. Try a great activity which shows children what germs on our hands do to our food
