Apples & Pears Day Nursery and The Banana Out of School Club are celebrating after being found to be ‘outstanding’ for the second time by Ofsted, following their recent inspection in April.
The setting, based in Cheshire, employs 24 members of staff and currently has 167 children on roll. They are open Monday to Friday all year long.
The report said of the setting: “Teaching is highly effective and the outdoor learning environment is truly inspiring. The nursery is situated on a working farm which gives children many unique and exciting experiences to learn about animals and nature.”
Jan Linsdell, the inspector who carried out the visit, noted that “staff care for the children extremely well” and that “children’s delight at being at the nursery is evident in their behaviour.”
The inspector also praised the effectiveness of the setting’s partnership with parents, saying: “Partnership working with parents and other professionals is excellent. Parents are fully involved in all aspects of their children’s care and learning. This promotes a consistent approach to ensuring children’s individual needs are met to a high standard.”
The setting’s owner and manager, Suzanne Evans, said: “We are absolutely over the moon with the result of our inspection.”
