Staff and children alike at Tarvin Pre-school and Day Nursery, are celebrating after being graded as ‘outstanding’ by education watchdog Ofsted.
This is the second grading of its kind for the setting, scoring ’1’ in all areas. The report congratulated the setting and its staff on their superb knowledge about the children in their care, as well as the rich and varied activities they organise that inspire and motivate children to learn.
The report went on to say that, “all children make exceptionally rapid progress in relation to their starting points at this lively and stimulating nursery.”
Lyn Jackson, manager of the setting has said of the result, “We are delighted with this result and we’ll continue to strive to deliver excellence in all areas.”
First registered in 1967, the long-standing setting is a community nursery and registered charity. Situated in the grounds of Tarvin Primary School they are located in a purpose built building, with a dedicated outdoor environment, caring for children aged 2 and up.
