Jade Turnbull-Allen, Supervisor at Forest Row Community Pre-School in East Sussex, had this story to share with us:

“We thought you might be interested to see our latest visitors to our pre-school. After seeing the news about the nursery within a daycare centre, we knew this was something special we could do within our own community.

“We have been visiting and singing for our villages’ elderly Thursday club at Christmas for a few years. We decided to develop this further and have planned a few more activities.

“These pictures show our latest collaboration. We all enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of painting, baking and drawing. The children were so engaged in play they didn’t want to leave!

“Our afternoon had the most amazing atmosphere, it was calm and so many meaningful experiences were happening. We have already booked our next visit – a hot lunch in the community cafe for all.

“We encourage all settings to reach out to local elderly groups.”
