On a daily basis I liaise with my team and supply them with the support and tools they require to maximise the performance of the IT department; not only do I feel this benefits the company but more importantly it benefits our customers to enable them to have the best software and marketing tools to run their business as efficiently as possible.
Attend, lead and project manage development meetings to make sure the correct development decisions are being made to give the greatest value to our customers and potential clients. I also communicate with our customers to see how we can improve our services and resolve any constraints they may have with their applications.
I’m also responsible for the IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are running as effectively as possible to allow the department to meet and exceed in their IT performance targets. This provides our customers and staff with the most robust, scalable and secure infrastructure within the business.
What do you enjoy within your role?
I particularly enjoy researching into new technologies and tools that allow us to stay abreast of current software solutions within the industry. I also indulge in problem solving new feature requirements, to enable new developments that offer the greatest benefit to our customers and our ever growing product portfolio.
I am very customer focused and enjoy obtaining feedback from our customers to ensure our services surpass the demands of both our current and future customers.
Favourite childhood memory?
I had a great childhood and fortunately one with no regrets. One of my greatest memories was getting up at the crack of dawn in the summer months to catch the tide right, to launch our boat off the slip way. We would spend the whole weekend at sea; water skiing, swimming, knee boarding, throwing friends off the ringo’s, fishing and camping on the beach at night time eating the fish, crabs and lobster we caught earlier on in the day! Happy days!
Thanks for taking the time to read my ‘spot light’ questions and I hope to speak to you all soon!
