Top Days Nurseries help raise money for Marie Curie Cancer

Childcare charity fundraiserThe managers of Tops Day Nurseries held a cake bake event today to raise money for the Parenta owners’ Marie Curie fundraiser.

Organised by Maria Thomas-Luker, Administration Director, Tops staff baked cakes for today’s meeting, and sold them to staff and local business to raise funds.

Nick Williams and Allan Presland aim to raise £10,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 3 weeks time.

The pair have been vigorously training for the mammoth task, receiving plenty of support and donations in the process!

The Parenta team would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Tops for helping raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer fund! Nick said “We have worked closely with Tops for many years, but it was a lovely suprise to hear that they had gone to so much effort for us!”

Tops Day Nurseries operate eleven children’s nurseries situated throughout Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset.

Parenta Sports Day raises money for Marie Curie cancer

The Parenta team swapped the office for the sports field last Friday in aid of raising money for Marie Curie Cancer.

Parenta directors, Nick Williams and Allan Presland, tackle the mammoth task of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this September as they aim to raise £10,000 for Marie Cure Cancer.

To support their intensive training schedule, the Parenta team organised a ‘Sports Day’ event to raise further donations for the cause.

Fun games included ‘Wheelbarrow’, ‘Caterpillar’ and ‘Bowls’ as two teams made up of Parenta Staff battled it out for bragging rights!

Nick Williams, part of the winning team commented, “It was clear that we are in peak physical condition heading into next month’s challenge (cough)!  Allan and I are very excited about attempting Kilimanjaro and hope that we can continue to raise more money for the Maire Curie foundation.”

Nick & Allan with climb Kilomanjaro in September in an attempt to raise £10,000 for charityThe two co-founders of Parenta will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in September in a bid to raise £10,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Allan Presland and Nick Williams will break away from their normal working routine to climb the 5895 metres mountain in Tanzania in September.

The climb will demand a high level of fitness, with regular walks and cycles to work contributing to their intensive training programme.
