Childcare Level 2 Apprenticeship

The Childcare Level 2 Apprenticeship teaches learners essential work-related practices within a childcare setting.

The course includes the Level 2 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification, and key work skills such as Communication, First Aid and Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

Apprentices develop their skills through hands-on work experience, making learning more stimulating and qualifications easier to complete.

Entry requirements

Learners need to be employed with a childcare setting for a minimum of 16 hours per week. They must have GCSEs in English and Maths and not be enrolled on any other government funding training scheme.

Course duration

On average, learners can complete the Level 2 Apprenticeship in 8 months. Our e-learning software supplies learners with full course material and virtual classrooms, providing complete flexibility.

Assessors provide full support and feedback to ensure learners maintain a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.

Assessment is carried out at the workplace by observation, completing practical and written work tasks and answering questions.
