On Saturday, St Mary’s Pre-School in Barrington put on a successful Christmas Fayre to raise money for the pre-school’s charity.

Held in the local village hall, there were stalls selling lots of different Christmas presents whilst the choir from the local school sang carols supported by the Illminster Town Brass band.

With everyone in the festive spirit, the fayre attracted a great audience will all funds raised being used to ensure all equipment at the pre-school is continually updated.

Rebecca McAlonan, pre-school secretary, said: “The staff, parents, committee members, stall holders and all those that attended, pulled together to put on a brilliant start to the Christmas season.”

“Having the children from the school come to join us too was really special.”

“A huge thank you to all those who supported the event through kind donations for the raffle or just turning up for the mulled wine and mince pies - it was the best start to a very Merry Christmas!”
