Yateley Community Pre-school wanted to share their fantastic news with us, following their Ofsted inspection:
Parents and staff at Yateley Community Pre-School had a reason to celebrate recently when their Ofsted inspection produced a report that was outstanding in all areas.
The report looked at how well the setting meets the needs of the children who attend, how the setting contributes to the children’s well-being, and the effectiveness of its leadership and management.
The report states that, “Children’s enthusiasm for learning is evident as they eagerly explore interesting and innovative challenges. Children become active, inquisitive and independent learners who are well equipped with the fundamental skills to support all future learning.
“Parents commend staff for the high levels of care they provide and children benefit from excellent teaching as staff routinely reflect on their practice and challenge themselves to continually improve.
“Highly skilled leaders and experienced committed staff make an exceptionally strong team as they pursue and sustain exemplary standards across every area of the pre-school.”
This is Yateley Community Pre-School’s second outstanding Ofsted result. Manager Janet Fane said, “We have had a 6 and a half year gap between our inspections and the goal posts have changed in that time. It is now much harder to achieve top marks, so we were thrilled when our Ofsted inspector told us we had retained our outstanding status.
“I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication to the pre-school. We are like a family here and work closely together and I could not ask for more caring and lovely ladies to work with. Thank you also to all our parents who support us and said such lovely words to the inspector and to the members of our Committee who work tirelessly at fund raising to help us provide resources for such a fun environment for our children to learn and thrive in.”
Laura Simmonds, pre-school parent and Vice-chair of the pre-school committee said, “I am delighted that the pre-school has achieved outstanding status once again. It is very well deserved, the staff are truly dedicated to providing the very best standards of childcare and early years provision and they excel at what they do.”
Pre-school parent and committee member Claire Ramsden said, “Both of my children have attended YCPS and my youngest is still there. The activities, crafts and learning opportunities offered are excellent. My eldest now goes to a primary school on the other side of Yateley, it has a pre-school attached but being so happy with YCPS I sent my second daughter there too. Both girls absolutely loved attending and my husband and I are not at all surprised the setting received an outstanding grade!”
Another proud pre-school parent Emma Botwright said, “We, as parents, are so proud our daughter attends Yateley Community Pre-school. The staff are fully deserving of the ‘outstanding’ grade they received. Our youngest daughter will attend when she is old enough and we know she will thrive, just as our eldest has. An outstanding grade for an outstanding preschool.”
Pre-school parent Mel Wells said, “Choosing a pre-school can be a daunting task but Janet and her exceptionally strong team are so committed and provide excellent support to every child and their family. My son continues to thrive at the preschool which he loves. He is treated as an individual and encouraged to share his own interests, which in turn has built his confidence and a high level of language. As parents we feel Yateley Community Pre-school are most deserving of yet another outstanding Ofsted report across all areas!”
