Hungry Caterpillar Day Nurseries Ltd were joined by special guest, Rachel Sherfield, Author and Illustrator of Mrs Blossom and Sniffy, as she cut the ribbon at the Grand Re-Opening of their beautifully renovated Northolt Nursery. The nursery has been completely transformed after 15 years and the reopening was a great way to celebrate the hard work of the staff team and the ongoing support of the parents and families. The event, on Friday 12th February, brought together the staff team, management team, existing families, prospective families, previous families that have now graduated from nursery and partners from the Early Years department of Ealing Council.
The celebrations consisted of the ribbon cutting, a book reading and signing from Rachel Sherfield, a Hungry Caterpillar Raffle, children’s goody bags, butterfly cupcakes and a delicious buffet! The parents absolutely loved it and all money raised from the books and the raffle has been donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital, which is Hungry Caterpillars chosen charity.
The support from the families and staff team throughout the temporary move was outstanding and the renovation couldn’t have been as successful without their help. The children are settled extremely well and looking forward to a fresh start in their brand new nursery.
Ex Northolt Parent, Samantha, came along to the event with her children and said, “The transformation of the nursery is beautiful, I loved it when my children attended 2 years ago but it really is an outstanding change. My girls love it and want to come back to nursery!”
Staff Member, Amy, was amazed by the change: “I’ve worked for Hungry Caterpillars for 3 years and when I heard the nursery was being refurbished, I expected it to look the same but just more modern, but it really does look like a completely new building, its bigger, brighter and a great working environment that I know the children will love.”
The nursery are still welcoming parents a local residents to come along and see the new nursery and will be holding an open week from 22nd – 26th February and 14th – 18th March. So please do come along and join them.
Hungry Caterpillars are extremely proud of the change and were happy to see how impressed the parents and children were. They are looking forward to the future with more refurbishments and developments over the coming years.
