Cracker Jacks Day Nursery are celebrating after being awarded a “good” rating in their first Ofsted inspection. Since opening in February of 2015, they have also been awarded a five-star rating from the Food Hygiene Standards Agency.
Inspectors noted that in family-run setting: “Staff working with younger children are kind and attentive. Babies have cuddles and their needs are attended to with sensitivity. Children achieve the key skills they need for school. They demonstrate good levels of independence.”
Tara Peart, manager at the Cambridgeshire nursery, said that her staff had worked extremely hard in a short amount of time to offer a range of activities and prepare youngsters, as best they can, for school.
She continued: “We have an amazing team here at Cracker Jacks. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved the last 18 months. Our friendly team work tirelessly together for the best possible outcomes for our children and their families. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff who pour their love, time and effort into the nursery.”
As well as nursery provisions on site, the setting also offers a school collection service and after school club where children are offered a wide range of activities and soft play equipment to keep them occupied.
They also have a holiday club, providing care for children aged 5-11 during school holidays where they run trips, cookery classes and craft sessions.
Congratulations to Cracker Jacks Day Nursery on their fantastic result!
