Press release
Children from Boys & Girls Nursery, Croxley Green were visited by Janet and Austin from the RSPB Watford to celebrate the RSPB ‘Big Garden Bird Watch’. They ran an interesting and thoroughly enjoyable session talking to the children about the birds they might spot in the garden whilst sharing their passion for wildlife. Janet explained to the children what birds like to feast on, Pre-Schoolers then went on to create bird kebabs to entice more of our feathery friends into the garden.
In honour of the ‘Big Garden Bird Watch’ the nursery held a number of exciting activities including a bird watch, creating binoculars and bird matching games.
Natasha Kirby, Director, Boys & Girls Nursery said, “The RSPB is the largest nature conservation charity in the country, we were extremely honoured when Janet and Austin agreed to run a session with our Pre-School – it’s so important to teach young children about nature whilst making learning fun”.
