This week engineers have been carrying out building work on my road, which means the internet has been crashing. Therefore, my well-intentioned plans to do lots of research for my next unit on child development sadly haven’t materialised. But hopefully I’ll be on track again soon.
We have the children’s Sports Day on 22nd June, which will take place on the primary school field next to our setting. Fingers crossed for good weather, otherwise 60 children, staff and parents will be crammed into a memorial hall! We have lots of games lined up including sack races and activities with hula hoops.
The pre-school I work at is term-time only so will close for summer holidays on 20th July. I have invited colleagues around for afternoon tea at my house on the last day so that we can celebrate the end of the term in style.
