Diary of childcare apprentice Melanie Pitt – Week 10

My week started with 3 poorly children at home, so no work for me and no chance of getting any coursework done! I was back to work on Wednesday and it’s flown by since. I’ve been doing my children’s tracker forms to monitor their progress and transition forms for the one leaving for big school.

Work is really busy at the moment with new starters having inductions and preparing everything for the leavers. We’re taking them strawberry picking and having a picnic at a local farm for their leavers’ party on the 19th July, so we’re all excited for that.

Two weeks to go and it’s the summer holidays and some proper time with my own children before the youngest starts big school! Feeling a little sad but I love my job and am really enjoying my course so I have lots to keep me busy.
