Children at Bright Horizons Forest Park Bracknell Day Nursery and Pre-School in Winkfield have been learning about Bulgarian traditions through cooking lessons.

The children learnt how to make bread from scratch and put a coin in the dough they made as per Bulgarian tradition. They discovered that the person who finds the coin will have good luck for the year ahead.

The nursery’s deputy manager, Laura Gardner, said to the Bracknell News: “Once baked, you all pull a piece of the bread and whoever has the coin in their piece of bread has luck for the New Year. The children loved helping to make the bread.”

The nursery chain owns over 300 nurseries across the country.
