Press release from: Milton Hall Montessori Nursery School
A very special guest from Buckingham Palace paid a visit to Milton Hall Montessori Nursery School in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. All the Children at Milton Hall Montessori Nursery School have enjoyed a very patriotic long week celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee ahead of the national bank holiday.
The Children, have been learning about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
One of the nursery's teachers Dominique Patrikios brought in a life sized cardboard cut out of the Queen.
At circle time the teachers and children have been looking at books detailing the Queen’s coronation and the trooping of the colour and talking about the colours on the Union Jack.

At Milton Hall Montessori Nursery School the children and teachers enjoyed a week of preparation’s in anticipation and excitement for the Royal Jubilee Celebrations. The children started the week off by making beautiful golden crowns which they decorated with their choice of sparkling gemstones to replicate the Crown Jewels!
We then had a few days full of flour, sugar and icing as the children weighed, measured baked cupcakes for our garden party on Friday 27th May 2022.
The children learnt all about the Queen’s incredible 70 years reign and why we are celebrating such an important occasion as well as how lucky we are witnessing this amazing time in history. The children dressed up as kings snd Queens and they each represented their own Cultures. We hope the child and families of Milton Hall Montessori enjoyed all festivities.
We finished our week off with a party and it was wonderful to see the children dressed up in their amazing costumes. This week we thought we were in Buckingham Palace! We hope you enjoy these photos of our fun filled week!
