What is Parent Portal?

Parent Portal is a FREE app that works hand-in-hand with our software solutions. When it’s time for parents to collect their children from your setting, they’re usually in a hurry to get home and you’re busy trying to tidy and prepare for tomorrow. With so much going on, it can be difficult to make sure every family has their invoice and children’s details are regularly checked.

Parent Portal gives parents a valuable insight into their child's day, lets them keep track of the nursery finances; and enables them to request important changes to their child's medical circumstances - online and on the mobile phone!

How do parents access Parent Portal?

Parents can download the app on Android or iOS devices – they just need to type ‘Parenta’ into the Google Play or Apple App store to find it. However, they won’t be able to access Parent Portal until they’ve been given their unique login details which will be issued by your nursery.

What can parents see on the Newsfeed section?

On the Newsfeed section parents have an instant easy to view insight of their child’s day – with nappy details including number of changes, what meals their child had, their sleep patterns plus sharing in the fantastic adventure their child experienced during the day. Activities, photos and even achievement certificates can be shared with the parents on a daily basis. This type of communication really encourages a positive and engaging relationship with the parents which is so important while social distancing has to be maintained.


Can parents change the information they see in the app?

No, the information contained within the app is presented on a read-only basis, meaning it can’t be changed by parents. However, parents can request changes by updating details within the ‘Family’ section of the app which sends you an email with the required changes.

The Parent Portal app is a great way to enable parents to see a timeline of their child’s daily learning activities, on the go. Parents can login any time of day, even when your setting is closed.
