£1,000 Recruit An Apprentice Cash Bonus Incentive
Employers and training providers could receive £1,000 each if they recruit an apprentice who is either: aged 16 to 18 years old, or, aged 19 to 25 years old and has an education, health and care (EHC) plan or has been in the care of their local authority.
The £1,000 payment from DWP funding is split into two: £500 after three months on the programme, then £500 on completion.

Recruit An Apprentice
If your total wage bill is less than £3m per annum and if you employ fewer than 50 staff- you’re classed as a non-levy paying employer and therefore, you’ll be expected to only make a 5% contribution towards the cost of your apprentice’s training (with the exception of learners aged 16 – 21 who are completely free of charge).
The government will pay the remaining 95% up to a maximum amount of funding allowed for the apprenticeship. You’ll be expected to meet, in full, any cost which is above the funding band maximum. All apprentices must carry out off-the-job training and all employers of apprentices must ensure that the minimum requirement of off-the-job hours is spent towards their active learning (excluding English and maths).
Off-the-job training is defined as any activity that is not part of an apprentice's day-to-day role, but which supports their apprenticeship training.
We will advertise your role for free on our job board. Once we receive some suitable CVs, we’ll sort through them and put forward any candidates we feel would be a good match for your setting.
Once you’ve found your ideal apprentice, we’ll help them transition into their new role and sign them up for their childcare apprenticeship.
