All apprentices must carry out off-the-job training and all employers of apprentices must ensure that the minimum requirement of off-the-job hours is spent towards their active learning (excluding English and maths).
Off-the-job training is defined as any activity that is not part of an apprentice’s day-to-day role, but which supports their apprenticeship training.
